Perhaps the biggest story of this week was the leak of the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, tentatively titled, GTA 6. The individual who also breached Uber’s services earlier this year posted over ninety video clips from the pre-alpha build of the game, giving eager fans the first look at the game’s two new protagonists.

The leak confirms ongoing rumors of GTA 6 featuring two protagonists in a bonnie and Clyde setup, set in a modern-day vice city. The leaks also show that the next entry will borrow heavily from the studios last game, Red Dead Redemption II, bringing in interaction with enemies as well as the ability to rob stores while taking hostages.

New mechanics being added include the ability to go prone, hang out of windows while driving to shoot targets, carry bodies, and a new pick-up animation for weapons, the leaks also suggest that, like Red Dead Redemption II, you will only be able to carry a few weapons at a time instead of the infinite amount in GTA 5.

Rockstar was quick to take notice of these leaks and issued a statement right after. Many websites and forums were asked to take down material related to Grand Theft Auto 6. Rockstar reiterated that as of now no delays are expected for the game and it should launch in the same time frame as before; FY 2023-2024.

40 Minutes of Diablo IV Footage Leaks Online

Rounding off this week’s news is another leak, this time for Diablo IV. The new leaked footage showed off the new barbarian class in action. The leaked footage is clearly from an unfinished build of the game as many objects remain untextured and many assets are still incomplete.

It is worth noting however that the footage shows the openness of the world, building off of the semi-open structure of the previous entry. The world of Diablo IV will dynamically fill out as the player explores the world. the game looks very reminiscent of Skyrim.

That’s all for this week. Tune in next week to read more about the latest happenings in the gaming world!
