For this and much more, continue reading!

Starfield is set for September 2023 with a showcase scheduled for June

Starfield was first announced all the way back in 2018. Being Bethesda Softwork’s first original IP in over 20 years the hype was palpable and has remained so five years on from its original announcement. Early last year the game was set for a November 2022 release which then got delayed to early 2023 while it looked like the game was all set to be released sometime during the second quarter, the developer announced that the game had been pushed to September 2023.

In a new release date announcement trailer, it was revealed that Starfield will now launch in September. Director and Executive Producer Todd Howard added that the team is hard at work on the game and that a deep dive (titled Starfield Direct) on the game is scheduled for June. Starfield launches September 6, 2023, on Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game will be available on day one Xbox Game Pass. Starfield Direct is slated for June 11.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been delayed until late 2023

GameNama Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has had a rocky start to its marketing campaign. What was once thought to be a spiritual follow-up to the excellent Batman Arkham trilogy turned out to be something that fans of the studio did not want; a live service looter shooter with a battle pass and purchasable cosmetics.

Notable industry insider Jason Schreier tweeted last week that the game had been delayed from its current May 26 release to later in 2023. While a few short months won’t allow the team to change the game fundamentally it will allow for an extra bit of polish. Another insider Jeff Grubb, however, added that the game might even be delayed into 2024. An official announcement from the studio has yet to be made.

Resident Evil 4 Remake receives its first demo

The Resident Evil 4 Remake is just under two weeks away and Capcom has been going all in for the promotion of the game. The highly anticipated title received its first demo (titled the chainsaw demo) late last week, giving players a taste of what to expect from the full game when it launches later this month.

The chainsaw demo has you play a sliver from the opening hour of the game as Leon makes his way into the El Pueblo village, looking for Ashley. It lasts for about 14 minutes and features just one weapon, and a plethora of rabid villagers as they try to kill Leon. While the demo isn’t very extensive, it does give a good sense of the general gunplay and movement that’ll be present in the game. Resident Evil 4 Remake launches March 24, 2023, on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Exoprimal is set for July 2023

Exoprimal is Capcom’s first foray into the online team-based shooter genre. The game was announced in March last year and pits players against giant robotic dinosaurs in an experience that looks as unique as its title. In a new trailer, it was revealed that the game is set for a July 14, 2023 release. The game will also see an open beta that will last from March 17 to March 20. The game will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Exoprimal will be available on day one Xbox Game Pass.

Paul Phoenix returns in Tekken 8

A large chunk of the Tekken 8 roster has slowly been unveiled over the course of the last few weeks. Characters like Jin, Kazuya, Nina, and King have already been confirmed for the next entry in the long-running fighting series. Paul Phoenix is the latest character to receive a gameplay trailer showing the characters’ new look and gameplay. Paul features an entirely new hairstyle, moving away from the long-established high flat top hairdo that has become synonymous with the character. The trailer showed off Paul’s move set that long-time fans will recognize all too well. Paul’s redesign is the most drastic out of all characters revealed so far.
