2022 saw some incredible game releases. 2022 was a weird year for the video game industry. It was the year that the pandemic finally caught up with the industry and its effects were felt not only in game releases (as we saw many major titles shuffle release dates several times) but also in the movement of hardware with the Xbox Series X and S and PS5 still being relatively difficult to get a hold of. Nonetheless, the year had a multitude of game releases, some delayed from 2021 and some from unexpected studios that absolutely stole our hearts. In a year filled with lots of uncertainty, we saw some of the best games come out of some of the smallest and relatively unknown studios while bigger studios and publishers had an equally as impressive showing. For this and more continue reading! GTA 6 is to be Revealed in 2023 Grand Theft Auto 6 is a game that has been on every gamer’s radar for several years now. The long-running series has not seen a new game release for almost a decade now, with the latest release being GTA 5 in 2013. GTA 6 was heavily leaked earlier this year, giving players a glimpse into Rockstar’s modern iteration of Vice city and two new protagonists. According to credible leaker Tom Henderson, GTA 6 will be revealed sometime in 2023.

The Callisto Protocol has drawn comparisons with Dead Space ever since its reveal in August and rightfully so, the game is led by the co-creator of the legendary trilogy, Glenn Schofield who reworks his original pitch for the first entry into this game. Developer Striking Distance has had a lot to prove with what is essentially a Dead Space game in everything but the title. Not only did The Callisto Protocol have to live up to the grandiose of the Dead Space trilogy but also improve and twist the formula in a way that makes it excel above its spiritual predecessor. While it does turn in incredible visuals, a deep and gory combat system and manages to keep you on your feet with a sense of ever-present tension and horror, it tends to be flat in its execution, marred down by puzzling design choices and sometimes a more than needed
