Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Revealed

The follow-up to Respawn entertainment’s highly popular Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was revealed during the Star Wars Celebration Anaheim on May 27. The sequel is titled Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and is set to arrive early next year.
When Fallen Order debuted in 2019 it delivered the Star Wars experience fans had long dreamed of. The story of Cal Kestis, a Padawan survivor of order 66, and his inquisitive droid companion, BD-1 quickly became a fan favorite Star Wars story, and Jedi: Survivor looks to continue this.
Set five years after the events of the original game, Cal must stay one step ahead as the empire continues its pursuit. He must do anything to survive while also dealing with the weight of being one of the last surviving Jedi.
Little is known about the game as of now but director Stig Asmussen sat down to reveal key features and targets the team is trying to achieve with the sequel.
A Star Wars game for Next-gen consoles
Stig revealed that the team is working out all the criticisms players had from the first game while refining elements that were well received. He added that plans for the sequel were underway even before the first game was finished. Content and story beats that were cut from the first game are very likely to make their way into the sequel.
The relationship between Cal and BD-1 will be further explored. Additionally, the planet trotting adventure of Fallen Order, which took players to planets from all over the Star Wars universe including the thick jungles of Kashyyyk and barren wastes of Dathomir will also return. Players can look forward to even more planets and worlds from the Star Wars universe in the sequel.

The game is being specifically built for next-gen consoles. It will leverage ultra-fast SSDs to deliver faster loading times. Real-time ray-traced lighting is being used to deliver fidelity, unlike anything we’ve seen from Respawn entertainment. The game will also make use of the Dualsense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2023.
