Sony’s Latest State of Play wasn’t the big showcase fans were expecting but in its 20 minutes, the presentation managed to pack in several exciting announcements and updates for PS5, PS4, and PSVR2 games including a new story trailer for God of War Ragnarök and the official announcement of the long-awaited Tekken 8. Tekken 8 Officially Announced, Coming to Current-gen Consoles and PC The presentation started off with a bang announcing the highly anticipated next entry in the Tekken franchise. Tekken 8 is set to arrive exclusively on next-gen consoles and PC sometime in the future. The game is currently without a release date. Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge enhanced for PSVR2 The award-winning Star Wars VR experience is set to receive a makeover for Sony’s currently in development PSVR2 headset.

The sequel to 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been a long time coming and fans have been waiting patiently to continue Link’s adventure on the Nintendo handheld. During the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, the sequel was finally given an official title as well as the release date. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the official title of the sequel and will take Link beyond the confines of Hyrule in the most ambitious Zelda title to date. Tears of the Kingdom Will Take Link to the Skies Tears of the Kingdom is set to expand what Breath of the Wild did in every way possible. The game world has been expanded considerably, going beyond the confines of Hyrule and into the skies. After a long and tremulous development journey, Dead Island 2 was officially re-announced at Gamescom 2022. After an absence of more than seven years, the long-awaited game is finally set to make its debut early next year across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Initially revealed in 2014, the game would switch three studios over the course of eight years before finally landing in the hands of Dambuster, an internal development studio at Deep Silver in 2019. Techland, the studio behind the original game departed the project to work on Dying Light. The game was initially handed to Yager Development in 2012, the studio was then removed and Sumo Digital took the reigns in 2015, four years later it was handed over to Dambuster.
