Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Coming Soon

Infinity Ward’s social profiles have gone dark hinting at an imminent reveal for the next Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 title which will be a sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare as confirmed by Activision-Blizzard in their latest earnings call.

Infinity Ward first confirmed its involvement in this years Call of Duty title back in February through a tweet.

Fans have been patiently waiting ever since and Infinity Ward is finally gearing up for the full reveal. According to credible leaker @ralphsvalve on twitter, the reveal is set for May which is the earliest a Call of Duty title has been revealed since Modern Warfare in 2019, both Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard were revealed in August. This is probably due to the low sales number of the latter.

Infinity Ward’s twitter header image appeared to be just a blank black picture at first but upon enhancing and brightening it, it was discovered to contain Simon “Ghost” Riley, hinting at the characters increased involvement in the sequel.

A sequel to the highly popular Warzone is also set to launch with Modern Warfare II. “The new free-to-play Warzone experience, which is built from the ground-up alongside the premium game, features groundbreaking innovations to be revealed later this year,” said Activision-Blizzard at their latest earnings call.

They also revealed that the new Modern Warfare game will be the most advanced experience in the history of the franchise. Furthermore, all Activision-Blizzard studios are assisting Infinity Ward on the project with more resources being poured into the project as the fall release date gets closer.
