2022 was a weird year for the video game industry. It was the year that the pandemic finally caught up with the industry and its effects were felt not only in game releases (as we saw many major titles shuffle release dates several times) but also in the movement of hardware with the Xbox Series X and S and PS5 still being relatively difficult to get a hold of. Nonetheless, the year had a multitude of game releases, some delayed from 2021 and some from unexpected studios that absolutely stole our hearts.
