Welcome back to Gameutha.com’s GameNama Weekly where we bring you the latest and greatest gaming news at the end of every week. In this week’s GameNama we’ll go over an exciting update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games and a very surprising leak regarding Naughty Dog’s next project. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Swings onto PS5 in Fall 2023
Insomniac’s next Installment in their Spider-Man saga is easily one of the most anticipated games of next year, ever since its reveal in 2021 the developer has remained tight-lipped on the game’s release and any details. Earlier this week the studio finally confirmed that Spider-Man 2 will launch in fall 2023 exclusively on PS5. Details are still fairly scarce but marketing for the game should be starting soon. Spider-Man 2 will feature Venom and see the return of Miles Morales.
The Last of Us Part III is in Development
The Last of Us franchise has gained significant steam ever since its release in 2013 with a remake, a sequel, and a TV show all within the span of three years. The next entry in the game series is now reportedly in development according to credible leaker ViewerAnon. It is unclear when The Last of Us Part III will release but going by Naughty Dog’s busy schedule it could be a while before we see Ellie (and maybe Abby) back in action again.
Horizon Zero Dawn Multiplayer Game is Now in Development
PlayStation’s Push into the live service multiplayer game space continues with Guerilla Game’s latest project. The developer behind the Killzone and Horizon games recently announced that a new standalone multiplayer game set within the Horizon universe is now in development. While the developer did mention that the game would feature a new art style it’s unclear when this game will make it onto shelves.
A Death Stranding Movie and a God of War TV show are in the works
It’s a great time to be a PlayStation fan as two of their biggest IPs are set to receive live-action adaptations very soon. A Death Stranding movie from Kojima Productions is now in development, it’s unclear whether this will be a direct adaptation of the game or a new story set within that universe. Additionally, a God of War TV series centered around Norse Mythology is now in development at Amazon. Both these projects are still very early in development so it will be a while before we have anything substantial to report.
Amazon Will Publish the Next Tomb Raider Game
A new Tomb Raider was announced earlier this year at Crystal Dynamics. The next entry in the legendary action-adventure series is set to leverage the power of Unreal Engine 5 to take the series to uncharted territories. It was announced earlier this week that Amazon Games will publish the title. The game will remain multiplatform but will have the added benefit of a bigger budget.
Bloober Team is Working on a New Survival Horror Game with The Private Division
Bloober Team, best known for games like The Medium and Blair Witch, recently entered into a partnership with Take-Two’s Private Division for a new survival horror game. the game is still in early development and is not expected to launch before 2025
