GTA 6 is to be Revealed in 2023

Grand Theft Auto 6 is a game that has been on every gamer’s radar for several years now. The long-running series has not seen a new game release for almost a decade now, with the latest release being GTA 5 in 2013. GTA 6 was heavily leaked earlier this year, giving players a glimpse into Rockstar’s modern iteration of Vice city and two new protagonists.

According to credible leaker Tom Henderson, GTA 6 will be revealed sometime in 2023. Earlier leaks suggested that Rockstar was looking to release the game sometime during the fiscal year 2023-2024 so the reveal being next year is not outside the realm of possibility.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl Receives New Trailer and Release Date

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has had a troubled development cycle with the game facing its most recent delay because of the Russia/Ukraine conflict. The developer, GSC Gameworld finally released a brand-new trailer dedicated to the fallen soldiers of Ukraine and revealed a new release date for the follow-up of the 2007 smash hit S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will now launch in June 2023, exclusively on Xbox Series X and S and PC. Pre-orders are now live on Steam and GOG. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass.

New Silent Hill Game Leaks

Silent Hill received a massive revival stream not too long ago, showing off several new titles that are currently in the works including a from-the-ground-up remake of the fan-favorite Silent Hill 2. Silent Hill: The Short Message initially appeared on a rating board back in October (during the Silent Hill stream) but was not heard of until now.

Silent Hill: The Short Message received an official rating in Taiwan revealing the game’s synopsis and key art which indicate that this title is indeed project Sakura as previously rumored. The plot description describes a brand-new protagonist called Anita. Silent Hill: The Short Message is currently without a release date.

Guerilla Games is not Developing the Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster for PS5

A Horizon Zero Dawn remaster has been perplexing, to say the least. The game came out just five years ago and for the most part, holds up extremely well (save for its facial animations) the game even received a free 60FPS update for PlayStation 5, negating the need for a remaster even more.

Colin Moriarty, host of the Secret Symbols podcast recently revealed that an entirely different team is developing this project. He also added that the PS5 remaster will have enhanced visuals, better lighting, ambient occlusion, better draw distances, and improved facial animations, all to bring the previous title more in line with the excellent Horizon Forbidden West. There is currently no release window for the Horizon Zero Dawn PS5 remaster.

A Nintendo Switch Pro was Scrapped

A Nintendo Switch Pro has long been rumored and speculated on and John Linneman from Digital Foundry revealed earlier this week that the console did indeed exist at one point but was scrapped in favor of a proper next-gen Switch console. He stated that several developers had their hands on a switch pro model not too long ago but this is no longer the case as Nintendo has opted for a full next-gen console instead of a mid-cycle update. He did not offer any more details but did say it is unlikely that the next-gen Switch will release anytime soon.
