Everything Revealed at Ubisoft Forward

Ubisoft returned with its annual games presentation; Ubisoft Forward, detailing the futures of its core franchises. The event lasted a little under 90 minutes and was packed with announcements, updates, and future road maps for Ubisoft’s biggest titles. Not one but four new Assassins Creed games were announced along with updates on the next title in the Division Series and Rainbow Six Mobile.

The show kicked off with DLC announcements for The Crew 2, Anno 1800, Brawlhalla, and For Honor.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Receives a Gameplay Trailer and Deep Dive

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope has big shoes to fill as it follows the highly popular and extremely beloved Kingdom Battle. The first Nintendo and Ubisoft crossover proved extremely fruitful and fans have been clamoring for a new entry ever since the former was leaked in 2021.

Sparks of Hope features a new turn-based combat system while aiming to one-up the original by being four times larger. Sparks of Hope will also feature new RPG mechanics. Additionally, Creative Director Davide Soliani stated that exploration has been completely revamped.

In the deep dive, fans were treated to 10 minutes of new gameplay footage which contained Bowser, and confirmation of Rayman as a DLC character. It was also revealed that the game will receive at least 3 DLC add-ons. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope launches on October 20, 2022, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

Skull and Bones Gameplay Trailer Reveals The Game’s Deep Customization Options

The new gameplay trailer placed an emphasis on ship customization showing how players can equip different weapons that suit their playstyles along with sails, ornaments, and much more. The presentation also revealed that cross-play will be available at launch allowing players to team up across all platforms.

Furthermore, details on The Helm, the player’s base of operations, were also discussed. It is unlocked once you reach a certain level of infamy. The Helm will allow you to craft high-value items such as rum and opium and sell them to the highest bidder.

Skull and Bones launches on November 8, 2022, on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X & S, Xbox One, and PC.

Riders Republic Season 4 Detailed

Riders Republic is set to receive a major season 4 update on September 14. The new update will bring with it new tricks, all new gear, and outfits along with new sponsors and more. New playgrounds will also be added along with an additional career mode.

Season 4 will also see the addition of a new BMX add-on that will add more ways to play than ever before. Additionally, the game will also be free to play across all platforms this weekend only.

The Future of The Division 2 Looks Bright With More Content Updates Planned

The Division 2 was released in 2019 and since then has received continued support. During the presentation, it was announced that two major content updates are slated for this year which includes seasons 10 and 11 of the game, with season 10 arriving promptly on September 13.

In a surprise announcement, it was also revealed that content for year 5 was already in development which means that support for The Division 2 will last into 2023 despite the release of The Division: Heartland.

The Division: Heartland Receives a Gameplay Trailer and Developer Intro

The Division: Heartland is the next entry in the Division series. It will tie directly into the timeline of the first two games. Heartland will take a much different approach when compared to the first two entries as it moves away from the big cities of New York and Washington to a more secluded and small-scale setting in a town called Silver Creek

The Division: Heartland will be free to play and will feature much more refined mechanics, it looks to bring in existing fans and new ones through its free-to-play model. There is no release date set, but it should arrive sometime next year. Registration for an upcoming closed test is now live.

The Division: Resurgence Brings The Beloved Franchise to Mobile Platforms

The Division: Resurgence, another free-to-play Division game also received the spotlight during the presentation. It was confirmed that Resurgence will feature a franchise mainstay, the Dark Zone which allows for PvP and PvPvE scenarios.

The game will feature a traditional campaign and story just like its console counterparts. There is currently no release date but registrations are now open for future tests.

Rainbow Six Mobile Closed Beta Test Starting September 12

During the presentation, it was announced that Rainbow Six Mobile will begin its first closed beta starting Monday, September 12. The beta will go live in seven countries including Mexico, The United States, and Singapore exclusively on Android devices. The beta test will feature three iconic maps; Bank, Border, and Clubhouse.

Since the game’s reveal, significant work has been done following player feedback from an alpha test. Improvements to graphics, player progression, and operator unlock have all been implemented. Rainbow Six Mobile aims to bring the full console experience to the mobile platform. Registrations for the closed beta are now open.

Trackmania Officially Announced, Coming to Consoles, Cloud, and PC

Trackmania is finally headed to consoles with a new entry simply titled Trackmania. The game will feature cross-progression and crossplay across Playstation, Xbox, PC, Stadia, and Luna. This release will also be a free-to-play title.

Just Dance 2023 Revamps The Popular Dance Series

Just Dance has been completely revamped for its next release which is slated to arrive on November 22, 2022, for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X & S, and PC. The game will receive continued content updates and for the first time ever adds multiplayer capabilities allowing the player to be in a group with up to five other players.

The game will feature cross-play across all platforms and boasts an all-new art style focusing on immersive 3D worlds. At launch, the game will contain 40 songs including hit tracks by Justin Timberlake and Zara Larsson.

The Next Era of Assassin’s Creed Kicks off With Assassin’s Creed Mirage Set for 2023

The next entry in the long-running series will release in 2023. Mirage will take the series back to its roots, doing away with RPG elements in favor of more traditional parkour and stealth mechanics. Assassins Creed Mirage is set in 9th Century Baghdad and will center around Basim, an Assassin previously featured in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is Set to Receive One Final DLC

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will officially tap out with one final story DLC set to release in a few months’ time, presumably before the launch of Mirage. This story DLC will be Eivors swan song and will tie up many loose threads in the game.

The final DLC will take place after the events of the Wrath of the Druids, The Siege of Paris, and Dawn of Ragnarok and will be available to existing owners of the base game players at no extra cost.

Assassin’s Creed is Set to Receive a New Live-action Series on Netflix and a New Commemorative Documentary is now Available to Stream For Free

It was also revealed during the presentation that a new live-action Assassin’s Creed series is in development at Netflix, details are scarce at this point as the project is still in early development. Additionally, a new 11 minute documentary commemorating the series’ 15-year anniversary was released on Youtube.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red Finally takes players to Feudal Japan

Ubisoft also dropped trailers for not one but three more Assassin’s Creed games in the pipeline. The first of which is Assassin’s Creed Code Name Red which will travel to feudal Japan and will be more in line with Assassins Creed Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Japan has been a long-requested setting from Assassin’s Creed fans and Ubisoft is finally following through.

Assassins Creed Codename Hexe to be the most Unique Assassin’s Creed Title to Date

Assassins Creed Hexe will be a much scarier take on the series. No substantial information was given apart from the working title of the game but executive producer Marc-Alexis Cote described it as a very different Assassin’s creed experience from what fans have come to expect.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, a New Entry Specifically built For Mobile Devices

Ubisoft also revealed an all-new single-player Assassin’s Creed mobile game titled Project Jade. The gameplay trailer showed off the setting of the game, which is set to be China in the distant past. Players will be able to parkour across the great wall of china and sneak through bustling cities in addition to – for the first time ever – being able to create your own character in an Assassin’s Creed game.

Assassin’s Creed Infinity to Tie All Future Games Together

Finally, Assassin’s Creed Infinity was announced as a central hub for all future games moving forward. All future games will be accessible through infinity and will add some much-needed parity across all titles.

Assassins Creed infinity aims to completely remove the present-day aspect of the games by making you, the player, the present-day character. Infinity will act as a central animus to all future Assassin’s Creed experiences.
